Introduction to Creative Pottery

Introduction to Creative Pottery is a fun weekly course for those who enjoy freedom and flexibility in clay. This curriculum explores three main ceramic techniques of pinch, slab, and coil building. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of the handbuilding process from start to finish.

In this class you will create handbuilt pottery pieces while gaining an appreciation for the capacity of clay with regard to form and function. This class is designed to give you a strong foundation to expand upon as you use your imagination in the pottery studio.

This series of six 2-hour classes includes an additional two hours of Open Studio time each week. Specific skills are covered in depth, and registration is required to attend.

Note: We keep our garage door open for air flow. Please dress warmly if the weather is looking chilly.
