Course Description

Do you love Giselle Hicks' amazing, coiled forms? Have you been watching every video post from Sunshine Cobb wishing you could make her cool planters? This class is dedicated to coil building, which is used by these ceramics artists to create a wide range of unique forms. We will focus on the making of coils, the building of both open and closed forms, and the surface treatments that coil building offers. This class is ideal for people brand new to clay and those who want to learn to handbuild following several courses throwing on the wheel. Each weekly class is two hours. Included: - Open studio time to practice throwing on your own each week. Please check site for Practice Hours. - 25 pounds of clay (including firing and glazing). - Basic tools for your use during class. (Bring a towel and apron if you like.


Cancellation Policy

To reschedule or be refunded (less transaction fees) requires: - at least 3 days notice before a One-Time Class - at least 5 days notice before the first day of a 6-week course No refunds issued with less than the required notice above, but if your spots are rebooked we will gladly reschedule you.
