This class is dedicated to coil building, which is used by these ceramics artists to create a wide range of unique forms. We will focus on the making of coils, the building of both open and closed forms, and the surface treatments that coil building offers. This class is ideal for people brand new to clay and those who want to learn to handbuild following several courses throwing on the wheel. Each weekly class is two hours. Included: - Open studio time to practice throwing on your own each week. Please check site for Practice Hours. - 25 pounds of clay (including firing and glazing). - Basic tools for your use during class. (Bring a towel and apron if you like.
