Course Description

Delve into the creative world of handbuilding with our Pinch, Slab, Sculpt! course. Using smooth white stoneware, you’ll master essential techniques of rolling slabs, building with pinch, and slump molding to craft personalized pieces—think cozy mugs, sculptural vases, or rustic soap dishes. With expert guidance and an array of texture tools, you’ll design surfaces as unique as your vision. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned potter eager to sharpen your skills, this class has something for everyone. Let your creativity take shape—your one-of-a-kind creations await! Each weekly class is two hours long - which breaks out to an affordable cost of $49/week. Class size limited to 8. Included with this course: - Open studio time to practice throwing on your own each week. Please see the Student Practice page on the website for current practice hours. - 25 pounds of clay (including firing and glazing). - Basic tools for your use during class. (Bring a towel and apron if you like.) (There are no makeup classes for this course. If you need to miss a class, speak with your instructor about what you will miss. Try to get extra studio practice that week and follow any guidelines for learning what you will miss that your instructor may have for you.)
