Potter's Wheel 2 - Feb Wed 5-7PM
Developing Your Skills on the Potter's Wheel
Course Description
If you’re able to throw bowls and cylinders, while keeping the clay centered as you open, pull up the wall and shape, then you are ready for our next step up - Potter's Wheel 2. This class will continue to explore and develop your skill set as you find and develop your artistic style. In this six-week, two-hour class we’ll get more specific with techniques exploring lidded pieces, mugs, narrow-necked vases, and other advanced forms. Included with Potter's Wheel 2: - Six hours of open studio time to practice throwing on your own each week. - 25 pounds of clay (+ firing and glazing). If you use all six hours of studio time each week, you will need to keep an eye on your clay to make sure it lasts for the course. You might need to work on your wedging and recycling skills - a good thing!
