Course Description

Unleash your creativity and learn the fundamentals of pottery making with our Techniques in Slab and Pinch class at Throw Clay LA. Using white stoneware, you'll learn the basic techniques of slab, pinch, and slump molding to create your own set of unique items such as mugs, sushi plates, or succulent planters. Our expert instructors will guide you through a range of texturing tools to help you create one-of-a-kind surface designs. Whether you're brand new to clay or an experienced potter looking to develop your style, this class is perfect for all levels. Join us and discover the joy of working with clay. Each weekly class is two hours long - which breaks out to an affordable cost of $49/week. Class size limited to 8. Included with this course: - Open studio time to practice throwing on your own each week. Please see the Student Practice page on the website for current practice hours. - 25 pounds of clay (including firing and glazing). - Basic tools for your use during class. (Bring a towel and apron if you like.) (There are no makeup classes for this course. If you need to miss a class, speak with your instructor about what you will miss. Try to get extra studio practice that week and follow any guidelines for learning what you will miss that your instructor may have for you.)

Cancellation Policy

To reschedule or be refunded (less transaction fees) requires: - at least 3 days notice before a One-Time Class - at least 5 days notice before the first day of a 6-week course No refunds issued with less than the required notice above, but if your spots are rebooked we will gladly reschedule you.
