Course Description

As you focus on the basic techniques of slab, pinch and slump molding, each student creates their unique set of items - for example mugs, sushi plates, or succulent planters. Working with white stoneware, we will also explore a range of texturing tools to create one of a kind surface designs. Whether you are brand new to clay or looking to learn handbuilding after mastering the wheel, this course is ideal for giving you the tools to develop your artistic style. Each weekly class is two hours. Included with this course: - Open studio time to practice throwing on your own each week. -Monday through Thursday 11am-8pm -Saturday and Sunday 11am-7pm (No practice on Fridays) - 25 pounds of clay (including firing and glazing). - Basic tools for your use during class. (Bring a towel and apron if you like.

Cancelation Policy

Six-week courses require a 5-day notice for cancellation or reschedule. No refunds or reschedules past this time. One-time classes require a 3-day notice for cancellation or reschedule. Private Event Cancellation Policy is as follows: • 10 or more days notice: Refund or reschedule for no fee. • 5-9 days notice: Cancellations will receive a 50% refund. Rescheduling will incur a 50% fee of the full amount. • No refunds or rescheduling with less than 5 days’ notice. A 3% non-refundable credit card transaction fee will be deducted from any refunds.
