Techniques in Slab and Pinch
Beginning handbuilding techniques, 6 Weeks, TUE 6PM
Course Description
NO CLASS THANKSGIVING WEEK As you focus on the basic techniques of slab, pinch and slump molding, each student creates their unique set of items - for example mugs, sushi plates, or succulent planters. Working with white stoneware, we will also explore a range of texturing tools to create one of a kind surface designs. Whether you are brand new to clay or looking to learn handbuilding after mastering the wheel, this course is ideal for giving you the tools to develop your artistic style. Each weekly class is two hours. Included with this course: - Open studio time to practice throwing on your own each week. Please see the Student Practice page on the website for current practice hours. - 25 pounds of clay (including firing and glazing). - Basic tools for your use during class. (Bring a towel and apron if you like.)

To reschedule or be refunded (less transaction fees) requires: - at least 3 days notice before a One-Time Class - at least 5 days notice before the first day of a 6-week course No refunds issued with less than the required notice above, but if your spots are rebooked we will gladly reschedule you.
