Course Description

Join us at Throw Clay LA for an immersive 3-day workshop with nationally recognized ceramic artist Danny Meisinger of Spinning Earth Pottery. From August 21st to 23rd (9AM–4PM each day), Danny will share the techniques and insights behind his signature sectional pieces, while also diving deeply into the skills used to throw various functional and non functional forms. Danny’s approach to teaching is generous, engaging, and rooted in decades of experience. He believes in empowering potters through a deeper understanding of form, function, and personal expression. His workshops are known for being both technically rich and creatively energizing—filled with humor, encouragement, and thoughtful critique. Whether you're looking to scale up your work, refine your craftsmanship, or simply be inspired by one of the best in the field, this workshop is a rare opportunity to learn from a master in an intimate studio setting. Participants should be comfortable centering clay, pulling walls, and throwing basic forms.
