About the Artist:
Danny Meisinger is a nationally recognized studio potter and the creative force behind Spinning Earth Pottery. With over 30 years of experience working in clay, Danny is known for his mastery of form, his signature large-scale sectional pieces, and a deep reverence for the honest demands of the material.

Originally from Gardner, Kansas, Danny discovered ceramics in high school and never looked back. He honed his craft through relentless dedication and the humbling lessons of clay and process—learning to throw towering forms while refining the quiet integrity of a well-pulled mug handle.

A passionate educator, Danny believes in clay as a spirit-filled, transformative art form. His teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, purpose, and the idea that every pot has something to teach its maker. His workshops are welcoming, insightful, and empowering—designed to help potters of all levels think like artists and grow with intention.

Experience Level:
This workshop is designed for intermediate to advanced wheel throwers. Participants should be comfortable centering clay, pulling walls, and throwing basic forms. If you’ve taken multiple throwing classes and are ready to expand your skills with larger or more complex pieces, this workshop is for you.
